Whether it’s your first baby or not, your experience is unique!

Here are a few places to find information, or things to consider:

  • Peterborough Children and Families Centre (https://ptbocfc.ca/)

    • This organization has free virtual and in person programming geared towards pregnancy, young babies from birth and children up to 6 years old.

      • Consider taking their breastfeeding seminar or “Babies First” course!

      • Drop in programming for play style learning

      • Appointments with a community health nurse

      • Locations include Peterborough, Lakefield, Norwood, Apsley (and continue to expand in the Peterborough area)

  • Physiotherapy

    • If you haven’t discussed pelvic floor physiotherapy with your care provider, now is a great time to do so!  There are many wonderful physiotherapists in the Peterborough area and I am happy to recommend some to you.

  • Books

    • There are many books out there to read if that's your thing! I have a selection of books I am happy to lend out or can refer you to.  Some of the topics I have read about and enjoyed are:

      • nutrition

      • fiction (stories about pregnancy and birth)

      • planning for postpartum

      • breastfeeding guides

      • non-fiction (books written from experience of the author)
